Casual Outfit + Light Fest
On Saturday, I went out to the Distillery District because it’s always nice to go there for a night out but they were also having the Light Fest yesterday, which made everything better! They had a lot of different exhibits that start at sunset, but I suggest that you go around 4pm (around one hour before sunset) just because it gets crowded really quickly. We ate at Pure Spirits Oyster House and Grill and got the traditional mussels, the burger, and sweet potato fries and everything was so delicious. Since it’s my birthday weekend, I also got a virgin margarita 😉
After eating, we headed out to look around the distillery because they’re having the light festival right now. It’s going on until the end of February, so y’all should check it out. There were some super cool sculptures, like a fire breathing dragon, and this giant pyramid made from gummy bears (like real gummy bears – I’m not joking)!! It was great for Instagram and photos in general, so I took a bunch of outfit pictures as well. I’m wearing an Urban Outfitters sweater and corduroy pants from Risque clothing.
After walking around and taking thousands of photos, we decided to stop by Cacao 70 for some dessert and to warm up. The cafe was so crowded and we waited about 15 minutes to get a table! I ordered the american hot chocolate and the triple chocolate fondue. I mean, both were so delicious and pretty but I wouldn’t recommend getting hot chocolate and the fondue at the same time because it was way too sweet together.
