Fooding in Toronto
I’ve been to a lot of restaurants this season and I was thinking about sharing my favourite ones with you. Choosing where to eat for a special day/night out can be a struggle living in a huge city like Toronto, so I hope this post will help!
Breakfast & Brunch: The Senator Restaurant
This is my favourite place for a quick brunch but the lines can get pretty long, even in the morning, so the earlier you go, the better. Try the banana pancakes!
Mexican Food: Playa Cabana
My favourite restaurant for Mexican food! The owner of the restaurant owns like 3 other ones as well, but all of them have different names. The last image is the Playa Burrito and I would recommend it if you really don’t know what to get but trust me, everything tastes good!
Sushi/Japanese Food: Miku
More on the expensive side, Miku is the place to go for that extra special/celebration day, but make sure to make a reservation, especially for dinner! The Miku Roll is my favourite roll of all time and the grilled octopus appetizer tastes delicious as well. Make sure to finish off with the Green Tea Opera Dessert if you still have room after!
Italian Food: Donatello
Located in the financial district, this small-looking but relatively large restaurant is spread across 2 floors and serves fresh pasta and a great selection of meat as well. The portions are fairly large, which accounts for the high prices 🙂 and their pasta is excellent. (sorry about the picture quality – it was pretty dark in the restaurant)
Seafood: Rodney’s Oyster House
I’ve only been here once, but I sure fell in love at first sight! I’ve always been a fan of seafood but Rodney’s took it to the next level. Of course the fresh oysters were amazing but I especially loved the fried oysters and I’ll be sure to go back for those next time 🙂
Bye for now!
